Notes from Mom//No.1

For my first interview for Notes from Mom, I couldn't stop but to ask my one and only, mama. She is my inspiration in everything I do. She raised me to become a woman I am today and I wanted to highlight her interview as my first post. So here it goes!

WHAT IS LOVE TO YOU?

Love is faith. It means that in any situation, you stand by your loved one’s side until the very end.

THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT IN MOTHERHOOD?

The most memorable moment was when I met the person my daughter loves, now my son-in-law, for the first time. At that time I had to come to terms with the idea of someone else other than myself loving my daughter entirely. It was difficult because that meant that she will no longer be "my" baby anymore. Having to accept that reality and establishing this new relational identity with my daughter was definitely a challenge. But that didn't stop me from loving her more. I wanted to do an even better job in parenting than ever before. It was definitely one of the most challenging but memorable parenting moments.

ENCOURAGING MESSAGE FOR YOUR CHILDREN?

I want to tell them that we are all God’s beloved children. That is why each of us are all worthy of respect. No one in this world should be disrespected nor disrespect others. I also want to tell them that their children are also God’s beloved child, just like them. They are God's gift to love and cherish. I wish to tell my children to do their best in raising their child. Love them not too overbearingly but not too little.
